Message from the President -

Normally I don’t make New Year’s resolutions. If I see I need to make a change, I make it and it doesn’t matter what day or month it is. But for some reason, this year I’ve loaded my platter with all sorts of good intentions. I have also noticed that the subject of “resolutions” seems to be in the newspaper, television news and even in Sunday’s sermon more than usual. I guess that’s what we all do this time of the year.

Instead of resolutions, I really prefer to think of what sort of opportunities, adventures, and interesting changes are in store in the coming year. Since taking office in August 2009 the Board and I have made a number of changes that we hope you agree have been positive for the development of our Club - and we even have a few more up our sleeves. I hope they will be equally well received.

I’m looking ahead with great anticipation to the fun I know we will all enjoy as members of this Club in 2010. If you have ideas to make this year more exciting for each of us, please let one of the Board members or myself hear from you. You might be surprised at how quickly it will be embraced!

Fashion Show Tickets
You may preorder tickets for the annual Fashion show, starting at the February luncheon. You cannot make reservations for the Fashion Show at this website. All reservations for the Fashion Show after February 24 must be made with Marge Fortier.

The next meeting of the Gainesville Newcomers' Club will be Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Chattahoochee Country Club

Luncheon reservations must be made no later than seven days prior to the luncheon.

We will showcase Hall County organizations that serve our communities, including several that Gainesville Newcomers' helps with donations of time and/or funds. We will have the opportunity to learn about the Hall County Seniors Center, the Hmane Society and First Steps, plus a few others.
